Behind Masiwela
Nicknamed “Masiwela”, meaning “the one from across the seas” in Ndebele, founder Judith Goddard began her journey with a deep love for hospitality and a belief in the power of authentic human connection.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Judith grew up surrounded by celebration, community, and warmth—values that continue to shape MASIWELA’s identity today. She honed her craft in Switzerland, graduating with an Honours Degree in Hospitality Management and earning multiple leadership awards for her excellence and promise in the field.
Judith’s career has taken her across the world—from the UK and US to Europe, Australia, and Africa—where she designed and delivered high-end experiences for global clients. Her international exposure informs MASIWELA’s sophisticated, versatile style—while her African roots keep the work grounded in heart and humanity.
